Travelling abroad & packing essentials

BIG NEWS… I’m travelling to Australia! I finally threw myself in the deep end and booked a one way flight to Brisbane leaving in 2 weeks! I’m SUPER excited and I can’t wait for the adventures ahead.

As well as the support from family and friends, I’ve also had some negative comments about travelling. but instead of letting it affect me, I’m using it to motivate me more to prove not only to others, but to myself that I can create an amazing life. I think when people send negative energy your way, it’s really just a reflection of their own insecurities and doubts. I know that most people don’t have the determination and confidence to move to another country, and that’s why I’m focusing on how grateful I am for this incredible journey. And although my plans shifted slightly for a short time due to a silly distraction, I managed to jump right back into planning my trip as soon as I realised I deserved better, and that you can’t have an epic life with basic people.

The more organised I get, the more excited I’m starting to feel, but I know it’s not going to hit me until I land over 10,000 miles away. I’ve got the basics ready to pack, including my trusty Hydro flask which will keep your water cool for pretty much the whole day, which is a lifesaver when you’re obsessed with the beach as much as I am and spend most of your time either surfing or tanning. It’s survived over a year in Hawaii and it’s an absolute must if you live in a hot country. I’ve also got one of the most amazing books, Soulcraft, which if you’re into spirituality/changing your life then this is definitely the book for you. And for the long ass flights, Clinique Pep-Start is an incredible eye cream that makes you look alive again.

“you can’t have an epic life with basic people.”

Yaaaaaasss! These words!! I love the way you put it xx I’ve come to realise this too, and that not everyone will understand or support my choices in life but it’s my journey and not theirs to judge or criticise! Even if I make a wrong choice at least I’ve followed my gut and learned a lesson that guides me in the right direction for my life. You are so right about the negative projection. Live your life and do what feels right for you hun, no need to justify your choices to anyone.

You are so wise already, you need to write a book one day about your life experience, your amazing perspective of life and your travels! I will be the first to read it x

Here’s to an amazing year ahead!!

Awww, thank you so much! It means the world to me that you said that. I’m glad you mentioned you’ve felt the same and also reacted to it in a positive way because that’s the most difficult part. Thank you for showing me kindness and making my day!
